Hello again, life.

After a month of sleeping and eating my parents’ food, I find myself back at college, where I’m expected to be productive and largely self-sufficient.  Ugh.

Not that today’s going to be much different than a day spent at home–my plans for the day are few.  I need to unpack.  Shower.  Revise my resume to take to the Rec Center.  Consider going out to look for other jobs.  Oh.  And eat.  Eventually.  Right now my food stores contain the following:

  • A bag of rice
  • A can of pineapple tidbits
  • Club Crackers
  • Oatmeal
  • Kool Aid
  • Peanut Butter
  • Mayonnaise
  • Ranch
  • Jelly
  • Salsa

Not exactly anything I want to be eating.  So before I eat, I’ll have to go buy my own food.  With my own money. How depressing.

“Welcome Back!” says Life.

Ah, well.  At least I don’t have to worry about homework yet.

Fellsleepyter

I’ve done nothing all day.  Honestly.  I went to French for half an hour.  And then I took a nap.  And then . . . I . . . reorganized my humanities paper outline.  Wrote 0 new things, but reorganized it.  *sigh*  I thought that maybe since my day was nearly 100% free, I’d be able to get things done.  But no, all I want to do is listen to Radiohead and fall asleep.  And not analyze Emily Dickinson poetry.

Perhaps if I go do something fun, I’ll want to do something productive later.  Or, I could try taking a nap and waking up productive.  Again.  Unfortunately, sometime this weekend I’m going to have to ignore the fact that I don’t feel like doing homework and do it.

We’ll see how it goes.

waste away ways away

waste away  –  ways away

just to find fade away

hope ways away  –  long way away

shallow laughs and cry ways away

joy a ways away  –  love a ways away

putting off death just a day

this ways away  –  that ways away

twists and the turns ways away

wrong ways away  –  right ways away

smiling on sight either way

true ways a way  –  false ways away

gravel and grey ways away

run ways away  –  stay ways away

graded and judged ways away
